Tube laser machines help bring data centers to life. How?
Cooling systems, server racks, containment cages, raised floors, and support structures all require tubes that are cut to size and assembled to create sturdy, high-quality products.
The cutting precision and speed of BLM GROUP’s Lasertube machines, combined with the design flexibility and comprehensive features of the ArTube CAD/CAM software, make it easy to create frames for assembling the various components needed to build data centers:
These are tubular structures designed to house the physical servers that power data centers. They are often made of laser-cut, welded open tubes or profiles, which are then enclosed with sheet metal or glass. They can also be reinforced to withstand earthquakes.
Data centers use liquid cooling systems consisting of cut and bent tubing. These tubes often must operate under “high-purity” conditions, because any impurities—such as dust, oil, or scratches—can compromise the integrity of the system. To address this challenge, BLM GROUP has developed a technological solution that extracts laser residue directly beneath the cut, leaving the tube's inner surface clean.
Many electrical cables run beneath the flooring in data centers. In fact, these facilities use raised-access flooring that rests on tubular frames. The flexibility of laser machines for tubes and profiles, combined with the ease of programming offered by ArTube, makes it possible to create sturdy frames in a short amount of time.
Beams and tubular assemblies are often used in warehouse construction to maximize interior space. Laser-cut joints provide greater strength and help reduce costs compared to traditional solutions that use reinforcement plates. Machines such as the LT14 FIBER and LT24 enable the creation of sturdy steel structures by preparing the laser cut profiles for subsequent welding.
